NEVER RECIEVED MY SUBSCRIPTION !!!! ![]()
I ordered this mag. in Nov 08 & here it is the end of April 09 & I've yet to recieve anything ? After numerous emails assuring me my subscription would be starting soon...still nothing ! Finally requested a full refund. Still waiting ! Very poor communication from customer service. Would not reccomend purcasing this subscription.
Fun and practical ![]()
This is the best magazine out there for DIY-ers. ReadyMade is mostly about recycling everyday items into furniture, organizers, decorations and gifts. The projects are much more practical than the geeky toys you'll find in MAKE. While most of the projects aren't up my alley (I live in a small apartment with few tools), I'm always impressed by them and delighted by the thorough explanations.
The magazine also includes other fun articles: brief reviews of esoteric new products; tips for saving energy; and other miscellany that shares the magazine's distinctively upbeat, you-can-make-it-better tone.
Meredith Publishing is horrible and did not deliver ![]()
I ordered my subscription on 10/15/08. It's now 2/20/09 and I have yet to recieve a copy of Ready Made. The most unfortunate part is that Meredith Publishing doesn't have any phone contact info available on Amazon and they have not responded to two inquiries via email.
So frustrating, customer service is dead. My recommendation is to subscribe directly with Ready Made or a more reputable subscription service. Best of luck!
Great Magazine, Bad Amazon/Meredith Service ![]()
I love ReadyMade and wanted to share it with a friend as a gift. Got the subscription for him and found out that he'd actually bought himself a subscription earlier the same week. (Great minds think alike.)
Problem is that this was well over a month ago and I'm STILL trying to get him something different as a gift. (and his birthday is long gone) I wrote to Amazon within 24 hours of placing the order, but Amazon said sorry, you need to resolve through Meredith, which is the name of their magazine vendor. Okay, fine, but when I wrote to Meredith, they said I needed to wait two weeks until the order processed through to them from Amazon.
Having my order "trapped" between two companies for two weeks was very annoying, but I waited the two weeks. Now, it's a month later and after repeated emails to Meredith, I'm still trying transfer the subscription to another magazine. They implied it was possible in an email they sent me earlier this week, but can't seem to grasp the fact that my friend would have ordered Ready Made directly from the magazine instead of going through their service. I just want to get my friend a gift he doesn't already have! I'm not asking for a discount and would happily pay the difference between the Ready Made subscription and another magazine, but Meredith still hasn't sent me that list.
Long story short, (too late!) I recommend avoiding Amazon as a portal to order magazines. There are plenty of other services that offer similar services at similar prices. In fact, my friend ordered directly through the Ready Made website and basically paid the same amount I paid to Amazon.
