Works on Mac w/ macam, But only at ~2.5fps
Somebody bought this camera for me as a father's day gift, believing that it would be supported by my Mac. Turns out that a newer version with the same name works (not available on Amazon.com), but there is no official support for this version. To see a list of Logitech cameras that should work on Mac OSX see Logitech's support site (answer id 6471), or check out the Logitech QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac (Black). Fortunately for me, the good people at macam support this camera, so I'm able to use it with Skype.
Using the macam QuickTime driver for this web cam, I'm able to use it with Skype, and the image quality is good once you get it focused (manual operation). Unfortunately, the frame rate hovers around 2.3-2.9fps, which means that video is choppy even when using the macam app to view the video locally. Obviously, although the camera does work with the macam software, it doesn't work nearly as well as it would on a PC.
Very portable and easy to use 
the nicest thing about this webcam is it's very ligtht, portable.. fits on a small pouch-like container. resolution quality is good and it's cheap. it's been one month now and so far i never had any problem. after installing the driver files you're good to go.
the only thing that's missing is perhaps a stand so you may also put it on top of a flat surface... with this design, you'll always have to clip it on top of your laptop screen. Other than that, i'm happy with it.

I love this thing! I read at least 2 pages of these reviews before purchasing and they're mostly right. Some people mentioned having sound issues but mine has worked fine. Set up was a breeze! Just put the CD in and it installs itself. A lot of people complained about the clip but it's really not a problem at all. The back part of the clip can be pulled out to fit over the top of the lap top. There's a little piece of rubber that fits around the backside of the clip to hold it in place. I have a Dell latitude D630 and it fits perfectly with the rubber thing. The picture is great and the Logitech software is very easy to operate. Great buy for the money! Oh and it works flawlessly with skype! (which is what I wanted it for!)
This product may require an software upgrade
Whilst I appreciate that every laptop and it's specs are different, this is what I would have liked to know when I purchased this webcam: IT MAY REQUIRE A SOFTWARE UPGRADE. If I'd known this when I bought it, it would have saved me hours of frustration and calls to the Logitech helpdesk.
I didn't read all the reviews but I read enough to get the impression that there MAY be sound issues with this product. I thought I'd risk it.... After spending hours fiddling with connections, rebooting things, adjusting microphone settings, subjecting friends to static feedback, etc,etc I realised that it might not be me(!) so I called the Logitech Helpdesk, they checked the serial number and I discovered that this product was manufactured in 2005 and that the drivers were out of date. Fortunately it was an easy fix.
Please bear this in mind if your sound doesn't work. My sound was at best intermittent, at worst non-existent with the drivers supplied with the webcam. I suspect they may be out of date for XP and probably Vista.
The upgrade was available at the Logitech website and according to the Helpdesk the latest software and drivers this particular model will support are "Quickcam 11.1". The helpdesk directed me to the right link.
Whilst the solution was very straightforward once I knew what was wrong I spent the best part of a day tearing my hair out when all I needed to know was that this product was manufactured in 2005 and since then the software had been updated by Logitech. They are very helpful if you need to speak to them, their number's on their website under "support".
Now that the sound is fixed I'm quite happy with this little gadget, it works pretty well with Skype, pictures and sound are good and for a first webcam, and the price, it does the job. If I was buying another one I may spend a bit more because as usual in terms of time, money and frustration you get what you pay for.
great cam
I bought this and it is one of the best cam's I have used. It does a good job and the clarity is good and I have been using it since 3 yrs and its still going good.
