Great for families
If you use skype etc for contacting relatives, this webcam is perfect for those with young kids who won't sit still and move around while talking to grandma during the video call. When your kids come to the computer the lens tracks down to their level (and follows them around) and then tracks back up when an adult resumes: no more fiddling and adjusting the angle of the cam. Also for kids who really won't sit still, its very easy to pick the whole thing up (on its stand) and move it around, pointing it wherever you want in the room i.e where the kids are. This is especially 'do-able' as the USB cable of this webcam is a decent length.
The kids will love the animated masks that they can play with too.
The camera provides excellent image quality in low light and excellent quality of you want to record regular videos - with the long USB cable it can even work as a video camera (in a pinch) in your room.

What a Difference
Wow! What a difference this webcam made in the clarity of the picture at the receiving end. I have a new HP notebook with a built-in webcam. I had previously purchased a Philips ($75) webcam that I used with my old computer. After seeing fuzzy pictures, I decided to try the Logitech Orbit AF webcam. my daughter said the clarity of the picture compared to the Philips and the built-in webcam was like "night and day". she said it was crystal clear. Now if only I can get her to buy one!

This product works as advertised. We bought this so that our daughter in Colorado could share watching our new granddaughter grow. We have daily conferences with them using the QuickCam. It is great.
